Even heroes need saving from time time. A 64-year old firefighter who was battling a house fire last Thursday suddenly went into cardiac arrest. According to reports, he was inside the house, trying to extinguish a chimney fire when he lost consciousness and fell to the ground.

His fellow firefighters immediately sprang into action. They took him to another room of the house that was free of fire damage and began CPR. He also received a few shocks from a defibrillator before being taken to the hospital. It is said that he was fully conscious before arriving at the hospital and is expected to recover.
